Come join us here on beautiful Madeline Island. Our island home is surrounded by scenic Lake Superior, lush woods and beautiful beaches. It is just a short 20 minute ferry ride from Bayfield, Wisconsin (or 2.3 miles on the ice road - weather conditions permitting). We are open year around.
The Island Inn is located across from the ferry dock in LaPointe - mere steps from the lake! We are near to the museum and close to restaurants, shops, golf course, marina and airport. There are nature/ski trails just a short hike up the road. Up for an adventure? You can rent a bicycle or "moped" and head out to one of Madeline Island's parks. Big Bay Town Park is known for its beautiful sugar sand beach - perfect for swimming, soaking up some "rays" or a relaxing picnic. Arriving by small plane? Give us a call and we will pick you up at the Madeline Island Airport.
Our rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet (Room 3 pictured at left). Each of our rooms has a queen bed and refrigerator. All of our rooms are knotty pine with birch bark trim - a rustic flavor that will enhance your stay on our island. Begin your day with complimentary fresh coffee and juice every morning. Summer rates for the rooms are $119 nightly. Call us for off season rates - fall, winter and spring are great times to visit Madeline Island too!!! (Winter guests: please call for ice road conditions or wind sled schedule)
